Wafer butterfly valve BRA.J9.100 DN 100 with electric actuator BRA 008 – 230 V, ON/OFF – SALE
Code: J9.100.100E16CProduct detailed description
The BRA.J9.100 + BRA 008 set (code J9.100.100E16C) combines a wafer-type J9 shut-off butterfly valve of nominal size DN 100 with the BRANDONI BRA 008 electric actuator. The valve is fitted between two pipe flanges and the actuator rotates it through 90° to the open or closed position. It is suitable for automatic isolation of heating, air-conditioning and water distribution branches in technical and industrial installations.
BRA.J9.100 valve
- cast iron body, nickel-plated cast iron disc, EPDM seal, FKM O-ring
- max. operating pressure PN 16, operating temperature -10 °C to +120 °C
- face-to-face length 52 mm, actuator mounted via ISO 5211 flange
- not suitable for steam, oils or hydrocarbons
BRA 008 electric actuator
- 230 V AC power supply, ON/OFF operation, 80 Nm torque, 90° travel in 30 s
- anodised, powder-coated aluminium housing, IP 68 protection
- four open/closed limit switch contacts for remote position signalling
- visual position indicator, thermal overload protection, manual operation with an Allen key
The actuator operates at ambient temperatures from -25 °C to +70 °C. Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Frequently asked questions
How is the valve installed in the pipeline?
It is a wafer-type design – the valve is placed between two flanges of the DN 100 pipeline. Its face-to-face length is 52 mm.
Can the valve also be operated by hand?
Yes. The actuator has a manual mode and the valve can be turned with an Allen key, which is stored on the actuator when not in use.
Is the actuator suitable for modulating control?
This set has a 230 V actuator with ON/OFF operation, so it fully opens or closes the valve. For control with a 0–10 V signal, IVAR offers a set with a 24 V supply (code J9.100.100V16B).
Which media is the valve designed for?
For heating, air-conditioning and water systems at -10 °C to +120 °C and pressures up to PN 16. It is not suitable for steam, oils or hydrocarbons.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
