The IVAR.CS 657 SET (code 530073SET) is a floor-level flow and return manifold set made of stainless steel with 3 outlets, factory-prepared for the installation of heat meters. Each connected apartment or commercial unit gets its own flow and return that can be isolated separately, and all meters are read at a single point.
Design and connections
- DN 40 flow and return manifold bodies in AISI 316L stainless steel, flow and return sides colour-coded
- side inlets with 6/4" and 1" female thread – the primary pipework can be connected from the left or the right
- 3 outlets with 1/2" female thread at 100 mm centres
- a 110 mm spacer piece on each branch, to be replaced by the heat meter later
- ball valves with union nuts and flat gasket, plus ball valves with an immersion pocket for the temperature sensor (M 10 x 1 thread)
- mounting brackets, threaded reducers and nipples; threads to ISO 228, CW617N brass, EPDM seals
Operating values
The set is suitable for heating and cooling systems running on water or a mixture with no more than 30 % glycol, at pressures up to 10 bar and temperatures up to +120 °C. At a flow velocity of 1.0 m/s, the 6/4" manifold body handles approximately 5,000 l/h and a single outlet with ball valves around 1,100 l/h.
Adding the meters
IVAR.WFM 50 (MEGATRON 5) heat meters are fitted in place of the spacer pieces and can be extended with an IVAR.WFZ 51 M-Bus module or an IVAR.WFZ 662 radio module. Individual branches can be balanced with the IVAR.PICV dynamic balancing valve. The set is supplied pre-assembled; installation should be carried out by a qualified installer, and thorough flushing of the system is recommended before commissioning.

Frequently asked questions
Is the heat meter included in the set?
No. The set is only prepared for metering: each branch has a 110 mm spacer piece that is later replaced by the IVAR.WFM 50 heat meter, ordered separately.
Which pipe is the heat meter installed in?
The heat meter always goes in the return (return manifold), while the temperature sensor goes into the immersion pocket of the ball valve on the flow side. During installation, the ball valve with the pocket must be turned by 45° so that the sensor can be inserted.
Can the primary pipework be connected from either side?
Yes, depending on site conditions, the flow and return from the heat source can be connected on the left or the right. For easier connection, the manufacturer recommends the IVAR.AC 619 / IVAR.AC 619 L corner connection, which is not included in the delivery.
