45° Bend with One Spigot End IVAR.IVN423 – stainless steel AISI 304, 108 mm
Code: IVN423.108Product detailed description
The IVAR.IVN423 – 108 mm bend from the IVAR system in AISI 304 stainless steel (1.4301) has a press socket with an EPDM O-ring for the 108 mm pipe at one end. The other end is a spigot with the pipe diameter – it goes straight into the socket of another fitting of the same size, so no intermediate piece of pipe is needed. It changes direction by 45° and handles PN 16 and -20 °C to +120 °C.
Applications
Closed heating and cooling circuits, solar systems, compressed air and vacuum lines, inert and technical gases, technical and process liquids, industrial applications, waste water and rainwater. Not for drinking water – a symbol on the fitting also indicates this.
Installation
Cut the pipe square with a pipe cutter or fine-toothed saw (no angle grinder or flame), deburr it inside and out and push it in up to the stop; mark the insertion depth with a marker. The spigot end is inserted into the adjacent fitting and pressed in the same way. Size 108 mm is pressed with M-profile press chains (at least 3 segments, usually with an adapter); the manufacturer does not accept one-piece jaws. The instructions recommend securing the pipes and fitting with clamping vices before pressing so that they are perfectly aligned. Each joint is pressed only once – pressing again may damage the seal.
The coloured indicator and the LBP O-ring are supplied only for sizes 15 to 54 mm. For size 108 mm, pressing is complete when the end faces of the chain segments touch.
Flush the entire circuit before commissioning and follow the system manufacturer's installation instructions. The version with a press socket on both sides is type IVAR.IVN422.

Frequently asked questions
What is the spigot end of the IVAR.IVN423 bend for?
The spigot end has the pipe diameter, i.e. 108 mm, and is inserted directly into the press socket of another fitting of the same size and pressed together with it. The bend is thus connected without an intermediate piece of pipe.
Can the IVAR.IVN423 fitting be used for drinking water?
No. The manufacturer does not intend the AISI 304 stainless system for drinking water, which is also indicated by a symbol on the fitting body. It is designed for heating, cooling, solar systems and lines for technical media.
Which press jaws do I need for the 108 mm size?
M-profile press chains with at least three segments, usually with an adapter. The manufacturer does not accept one-piece jaws for diameters from 42 to 108 mm.
Does the fitting in size 108 mm have a press indicator?
No, the coloured strip and the LBP O-ring are supplied only for sizes 15 to 54 mm. Pressing is complete when the end faces of the chain segments touch each other.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
