PNI Safe House Smart Gas 300 WiFi is a gas detector and solenoid valve set that informs you of a leak on your mobile device. The package includes two complete sets, for example, for the kitchen and boiler room. The detector connects to your home Wi-Fi network and is added to the PNI Smart or Tuya Smart app. You will receive a notification on your phone during each alarm.
The detector recognizes natural gas (methane, propane, butane, ethane), LPG and gaseous hydrocarbons (propylene, butylene). The alarm is triggered at 7 % of the lower explosive limit: a red LED flashes and a continuous siren sounds at 85 dB. If connected to a valve, the detector sends an electric pulse to it and the 3/4" valve closes the gas supply.
In the app, you can share the device with other users, trigger a test alarm, rename the detector, and create automations together with other compatible Tuya devices. To stop the sound alarm, remove the detector from the socket or wait until the gas concentration drops. After removing the cause, gas is re-opened by lifting the red button on the valve. Never ignore an alarm.
Installation and compatibility
The detector is powered by the network 110–240 V AC and consumes less than 3 W. Wi-Fi operates in the 2.4 GHz band, with a transmission range of up to 100 m in open space. The detector dimensions are 123 × 78 × 40 mm (cable 132 cm), the valve 125 × 75 × 55 mm (cable 85 cm). Operating temperature is −26 to +80 °C.
The installation of the valve on the gas pipe must be carried out by a qualified person with professional competence in gas equipment. The set does not replace the inspection of gas equipment.
