How the photoeyes work

The photoeyes consist of a transmitter and a receiver between which a beam is formed. When a vehicle or person passes through the gate, the beam is interrupted and the control unit recognizes this as an obstacle. Depending on the settings, the drive will then stop or change direction. In order for these safety features to function reliably even in sunlight, they have an anti-reflection function, ensuring that direct sunlight does not trigger a false signal.

Application and installation

The photoeyes are mounted on both sides of the gate facing each other so that the beam covers the path of the vehicle entering or exiting the yard.
