The DAB SS6C 08 (code 60170161) is the hydraulic part (pump end) of a 6" multistage submersible centrifugal pump from the DAB SS6 range. It is made entirely of stainless steel and intended for wells and boreholes of sufficient diameter. It is supplied separately, without a motor: according to its designation it goes with a 7.5 kW submersible motor.

Construction
Impellers, diffusers, cable guard, suction casing and discharge casing are made of AISI 304 stainless steel. The impellers are dynamically balanced and the pump has a built-in check valve. The discharge of the SS6C 08 model is 3". The SS6 range covers flow rates up to 75 m³/h and heads up to 670 m; the water may contain no more than 50 g/m³ of sand or silt.
Motor and installation
The pump end is coupled with 4" submersible motors (DAB 4GG, 4OL) or 6" motors (DAB 6GF) – the right combination for the specific model must be checked in the manufacturer’s documentation. The pump power must not exceed the motor power. The pump is installed vertically; horizontally only with a cooling sleeve and if the motor allows it. Connection and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified person.

Frequently asked questions
Is the motor included?
No, the SS6C 08 is only the pump end. The 7.5 kW motor is ordered separately – depending on the hydraulics this is a 4" DAB 4GG or 4OL motor or a 6" DAB 6GF motor; check the combination in the manufacturer’s documentation.
Can the pump operate horizontally?
Yes, but only with a cooling sleeve and with a motor that permits horizontal installation. As standard, the pump is mounted vertically.
How dirty can the water be?
The SS6 range is designed for water with no more than 50 g/m³ of sand or silt. For aggressive water, the manufacturer offers an AISI 316 stainless-steel version on request, which is not covered by this code.
