The DAB.DRENAG 1200 M-A (code 103041040) is a submersible centrifugal pump made of stainless steel. It is designed for non-aggressive waste, clear and sandy water without fibrous matter, containing solid particles up to 10 mm. The M-A designation means a single-phase motor and a float switch that starts and stops the pump automatically according to the water level.

Design and connection

The dry, watertight asynchronous motor is cooled by the pumped liquid flowing past it. The single-phase motor has built-in thermal protection – it stops on overload and restarts by itself once it has cooled down. The shaft is sealed by a double mechanical seal with an oil chamber. The outlet is vertical with a 1 1/2" GAS thread, and the pump comes with 10 m of H07RN-F cable with plug. It can be installed permanently or used portably, in a vertical or horizontal position. The DRENAG 1000/1200 range covers flows from 3 to 24 m³/h and heads up to 14.2 m; the liquid temperature may be 0 to +35 °C for domestic use and up to +50 °C for other applications.

The pump must not run dry and must not be used in pools or tanks where people are present. The circuit must be protected by a residual current device with a tripping current of up to 30 mA.

How does the pump switch on?
The M-A version has a float switch that starts the pump automatically when the water level rises and stops it when the level drops. The start and stop levels are set by the cable length between the float and the eyelet on the handle.

What kind of dirt can the pump handle?
It is designed for non-aggressive water with solid particles up to 10 mm, for example sandy or slightly dirty water. It should not be used for water containing fibrous matter.

How large does the sump need to be?
The manual specifies a minimum sump size of 600 × 600 mm for the DRENAG 1000–1200 range. The float must be able to move freely, and a non-return valve is recommended on the delivery pipe.
