The IVAR.FEKAFOS 1300 DOUBLE KOMPLET GRI (code DBL1300GRI) is a complete lifting station for underground installation. Waste water from the building flows into the 1300 l tank, from where the two pumps push it into the discharge pipe. Non-return valves, a lifting device and level sensing are part of the station.

Tank

The self-supporting tank is rotationally moulded from very strong polyethylene and closed with a gas-tight lid. It is 2000 mm high with an outer diameter of 1020 mm, and the inspection neck has an inner diameter of 625 mm. The inlet uses the supplied connector for smooth PVC sewer pipe DN 160 – the opening is drilled with a hole saw at the marked flat spots. The discharge side is connected with a PE quick coupling in 6/4" (50 mm) or 2" (63 mm), and the pump and float cables are protected by an AFLEX conduit Ø 50 mm connected to the prepared socket.

FEKA VS GRINDER 1000 T-NA pumps and NG PANEL

The two FEKA VS GRINDER 1000 T-NA pumps (3 × 400 V) have a vortex impeller with a front cutting system that shreds solids into small pieces. This allows the sewage to be conveyed through smaller-diameter pressure pipes – a solution used in pressure sewer systems, for example in hilly terrain. The NG PANEL starts the pumps according to the level switches and raises an alarm at high level.

Installation and operation

• excavation about 1 m larger on every side, walls sloped at 15°
• compacted bedding 20–30 cm thick, backfill compacted in 30 cm layers
• with groundwater, a C12/15 concrete base at least 15 cm thick and anchoring of the tank with a stainless-steel strap
• under trafficked areas, a reinforced concrete ring with cast-iron cover that does not bear on the tank (at least 50 mm clearance)
• the neck can be shortened to suit the ground level or raised by up to 50 cm with the S038 (250 mm) or S039 (telescopic, 500 mm) extension

Rainwater, groundwater and swimming-pool water must not be fed into the tank. Installation, electrical connection and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified person.

When should I choose the GRI version instead of VS?
The GRI version uses FEKA VS GRINDER pumps with a cutting system that shreds solids into small pieces. It suits pressure sewer systems with smaller-diameter discharge pipes, for example in hilly terrain.

Can rainwater be fed into the tank?
No. Only waste water from the building may enter the tank – rainwater, groundwater and water from pools or aquariums must not be fed into it.

What if the tank sits too low below ground level after backfilling?
The neck can be raised by up to 50 cm with the S038 extension (250 mm) or the telescopic S039 extension (500 mm). Before fitting the extension, a rubber seal is placed on the neck of the inspection opening.

How is the tank installed where the groundwater level is high?
A C12/15 concrete base at least 15 cm thick is cast under the tank and the tank is anchored against buoyancy, for example with a stainless-steel strap fixed with M10 or M12 anchors.
