Manual axial press tool for 20 mm pipe – IVAR.A-PRESS
Code: I0000748Related products
Product detailed description
The IVAR.A-PRESS tool is used for manual axial pressing of IVAR.PPSU IC fittings on PE-X pipe. Its pistol shape and rotating head let you work one-handed with less force, even in installation positions that are hard to reach.
Features
- fixed base press forks for pipe with a 20 mm outside diameter (PE-X 20 x 2 mm)
- for 10 mm pipe (PE-X 10 x 1.3 mm), IVAR.TRM interchangeable forks are inserted into the fixed forks (code I0000687)
- angled fittings – tees and elbows – are pressed with special IVAR.OPM support adapters (code I0000686)
- the rotating head reaches every installation position
How to press
Slide the sleeve onto the pipe, expand the pipe properly and insert the fitting. Place the fitting with pipe and sleeve between the forks of the right size and squeeze the handle repeatedly until the sleeve touches the fitting flange – the joint is then complete. The IVAR.TRM forks are inserted turned by 90° and then rotated back.
Cover finished joints with suitable protection and keep them away from chemicals, sunlight and UV radiation. For heating and cooling use only antifreeze approved by the manufacturer of the IVAR.PPSU IC fittings.

Frequently asked questions
Can I also press 10 mm pipe with the tool?
Yes. The IVAR.TRM interchangeable press forks for 10 mm pipe are fitted into the fixed forks – insert them turned by 90° and then rotate them back. The forks are offered as a separate set with code I0000687.
How do I press a tee or an elbow?
For angled fittings use the special IVAR.OPM support adapter, positioned according to the fitting type. Tees and elbows of the same size are pressed with the same adapter.
How do I know the joint is fully pressed?
Squeeze the handle repeatedly until the sleeve has slid forward and touches the fitting flange. At that point pressing is complete.
Which fittings and pipes is the tool intended for?
For axial pressing of IVAR.PPSU IC fittings on PE-X pipe 20 x 2 mm and, with the interchangeable forks, also 10 x 1.3 mm.

To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
