IVAR.CS 657 industrial stainless steel flow/return manifold set – 4-way, 2" x 1" F
Code: 560084Product detailed description
Application
The 4-way version of the IVAR.CS 657 distributes heating or cooling water from the main pipe to 4 separate branches or loops, and the return manifold brings it back. The set is intended for heating and cooling systems and for industrial networks carrying large volumes of medium. The DN 50 bodies with 2" F main inlet handle approx. 8200 l/h at a flow velocity of 1.0 m/s and up to 12300 l/h at 1.5 m/s.
Design
- flow and return bodies made of AISI 316L stainless steel with high corrosion resistance
- 4 outlets with G 1" female thread at 100 mm centres, body length 400 mm
- side inlets with 2" F and 1" F female thread, threads to ISO 228/1
- colour coding: flow manifold (IN, red), return manifold (OUT, blue)
- centre distance between flow and return manifold selectable during installation
- operating pressure up to 10 bar, temperature up to +120 °C, medium water or a mixture with max. 30 % glycol
Fitting the outlets and installation
The outlets are left free and are fitted, as the design requires, with ball valves, thermostatic valves or regulating fittings. As a guide: one outlet with a ball valve passes approx. 1100 l/h at 1.0 m/s, with a thermostatic valve approx. 700 l/h.
The set is supplied disassembled. After assembly and tightening of the joints, a pressure test and leak check are required. The bodies must be installed free of stress and must not be loaded with excessive torque; use a thread sealant suitable for the temperature, pressure and medium. Flush the entire system before commissioning. Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional.
The IVAR.CS 657 type is available in 2- to 12-way versions with a 6/4" (DN 40) or 2" (DN 50) main connection.

Frequently asked questions
Are valves already fitted on the outlets?
No, the IVAR.CS 657 type is supplied without valves. The G 1" outlets are fitted with ball valves, thermostatic valves or regulating fittings according to the needs of the system.
What is included in the package?
The flow manifold body with flow marking, the return manifold body with return marking and the mounting brackets. Valves and end pieces with venting and draining are not part of the set.
What flow rate can the 4-way set with 2" connection handle?
The DN 50 bodies carry approx. 8200 l/h at a flow velocity of 1.0 m/s and approx. 12300 l/h at 1.5 m/s. One outlet with a ball valve passes approx. 1100 l/h at 1.0 m/s.
Can the set be used in a cooling circuit with glycol?
Yes, the set is also intended for cooling systems. The medium can be water or a mixture with up to 30 % glycol, at a pressure of up to 10 bar and a temperature of up to +120 °C.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
