PNI Safe House Dual Gas 250 is a set for areas where flammable gas or carbon monoxide leakage is possible – boiler room, kitchen with gas appliances or garage. This package includes two complete sets, i.e. two detectors and two electric valves with internal 3/4 inch thread, as well as power and connecting cables.
Each detector has two semiconductor sensors: one for carbon monoxide (CO), the other for other gases. It detects natural gas (methane, propane, butane, ethane), gaseous hydrocarbons (propylene, butylene) and coal gas. The alarm threshold is 7 % of the lower explosive limit. In case of alarm, a siren louder than 85 dB sounds and LED indicators ALARM, FAULT, POWER and TEST on the front side light up.
In case of gas leakage, the detector sends a 9–12 V impulse to the electric valve, which closes the gas supply; the valve can also be closed manually. The detector does not detect smoke, fire or gases outside the listed groups.
Installation and compatibility
The detector is powered by 230 V AC, with maximum power consumption of 3 W. The detector is suitable only for interior use with humidity up to 95 %. After turning on, the sensor heats up for 180 seconds. The detector dimensions are 72 × 33 × 123 mm (200 g), the valve 65 × 45 × 105 mm (380 g). The cable length from the detector to the valve is 90 cm and the power cable is 140 cm.
The valve has an internal 3/4" thread, works with pressure up to 100 kPa and at temperatures from −10 to +60 °C. Installation of the valve on the gas supply must be carried out by a qualified person with professional competence in gas equipment. The set does not replace the inspection of the gas and flue gas system.
