DAB SS6B 09 (code 60167927) is the hydraulic part of a multi-stage submersible centrifugal pump with a 6" diameter from the DAB SS6 range. It is entirely made of stainless steel and is intended for use in wells and boreholes with a sufficiently large diameter. It is supplied separately, without a motor: according to the marking, it is suitable for a submersible motor with a power of 5.5 kW.

Construction

Impellers, diffusers, cable cover, suction body and discharge body are made of stainless steel AISI 304. The impellers are dynamically balanced and the pump is equipped with an integrated check valve. The discharge nozzle of the SS6B 09 model has a dimension of 2 1/2". The SS6 range covers flows up to 75 m³/h and discharge heads up to 670 m; the water may contain up to 50 g/m³ of sand or silt.

Motor and installation

The hydraulic unit is connected to 4" submersible motors (DAB 4GG, 4OL) or 6" motors (DAB 6GF) – the suitable combination must be verified in the manufacturer's documentation for the specific model. The pump power must not exceed the motor power. The pump is installed vertically, horizontally only with a cooling jacket and after verifying that the motor allows it. Connection and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified person.

Is the motor part of the delivery?
No, SS6B 09 is only the hydraulic part. The motor with a power of 5.5 kW is ordered separately – according to the hydraulic unit, it is a 4" motor DAB 4GG or 4OL or a 6" motor DAB 6GF; verify the combination in the manufacturer's documentation.

Can the pump operate in a horizontal position?
Yes, but only with a cooling jacket and with a motor that allows horizontal installation. The pump is mounted vertically by default.

What level of water contamination can the pump tolerate?
The SS6 range is designed for water with a maximum sand or silt content of 50 g/m³. For aggressive water, the manufacturer offers on request a version made of stainless steel AISI 316, which is not the subject of this code.
