The wall mounting kit for the VPS R 100/1 M (R1) buffer tank, Vaillant code 8000043418, is original mounting equipment that allows the buffer (accumulation) tank Vaillant uniSTOR VPS R 100/1 M to be mounted directly on the wall of the technical room instead of the conventional free-standing position on the floor.
Why to mount the tank on the wall
The VPS R 100/1 M tank with a volume of 101 l is designed by default as a stationary (floor-standing) unit - it comes with the option to attach it to the wall as an additional stabilisation from the factory. In practice, however, space in technical rooms, boiler rooms or heat pump rooms is often very limited, especially in renovations where the original boiler room is converted into a heat pump room. Mounting the tank on the wall using this kit frees up floor space, which can be used, for example, for the heat pump itself, the heating circuit distributor, the expansion vessel or service space.
Wall mounting also simplifies cleaning and maintenance of the technical room and reduces the risk of mechanical damage to the bottom part of the tank and its connections during handling of other equipment in the room.
What the kit contains

- The fastening material must be selected according to the actual wall material (brick, concrete, aerated concrete, etc.) - the original kit includes standard connecting material, but anchors for a specific type of masonry must be selected by the installation company according to local conditions.
- Before installation, check that sufficient service space is maintained around the tank for connections, inspection openings and future service (e.g., anode replacement or tank cleaning).
- Installation must be carried out by a qualified person/installation company with the right to install heating equipment, in accordance with the Vaillant installation instructions for the VPS R 100/1 M.
Installation procedure in short
- Determine the exact position of the tank and verify the load capacity and flatness of the wall at the anchoring location.
- According to the installation instructions, mark the position of the anchoring points of the kit brackets.
- Install the anchoring material suitable for the given wall type and secure the load-bearing brackets.
- Suspend the tank on the prepared brackets and secure it against dislodging/falling according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Check the horizontal/vertical alignment of the installation and the tightening of all connections before connecting the hydraulic circuits.
