New-generation condensing technology
The ecoTEC exclusive gas boiler offers condensing technology with many intelligent features in a modern design. The compact wall-mounted unit is specially designed for use in family houses and represents an investment in the future, whether for a new building or the modernisation of your old heating system.

Be ready for possible fluctuations in gas composition
At the heart of the new generation of ecoTEC exclusive boilers is the intelligent IoniDetect combustion control. Since the system automatically detects different types and properties of gas, the combustion system optimises itself for maximum energy yield. So you don't need to worry if the composition of the gas supplied changes in the future - your boiler will adapt automatically.

Awarded the Green iQ label for future-ready technology
The ecoTEC exclusive gas boiler is an investment in eco-friendly heating. It carries our Green iQ label, which represents the highest standards for sustainable technology and smart connectivity. All Green iQ products can be connected via WLAN, and thanks to compatible technical interfaces they can also be conveniently controlled on the go using smartphones or tablets.

The Green iQ label also means resource-efficient production and the use of high-quality recyclable materials from carefully controlled sources.

Design for intuitive control
The attractive design of the new ecoTEC exclusive boiler will catch your eye at first glance. Its clean, clear lines and illuminated black display are the hallmark of a new era of gas condensing boilers.

Not only does it blend perfectly into your home, operation is also more intuitive than ever before. The improved user interface of the boiler, with touch controls, sliding controls and full text display, lets you operate the device without worrying about making a mistake. All relevant functions are clearly structured and easy to understand - for quick navigation and setup.

Convenient monitoring via touch controls and the app
Smart technology doesn't have to be complicated! You can make all heating settings directly on the device using the touch controls. Menu navigation is simple and clear, and control is now even more convenient. For simple and intuitive control of the heating system from anywhere, you just need to combine the sensoNET internet communication module, included in the package, with the new sensoCOMFORT system controller. You get easy access to all the main control functions via the free sensoAPP app. Even when you are not at home.

Flexible expansion options to increase efficiency and comfort
The ecoTEC exclusive gas boiler offers wide-ranging options for expanding the heating system. Combine your boiler with one of the wide range of Vaillant hot water cylinders. The design of the new uniSTOR wall-hung cylinders perfectly matches the new ecoTEC exclusive boiler. And although it takes up only minimal space, it can cover even the highest hot water demands. The sensoCOMFORT system controller manages hot water preparation and up to nine mixed heating circuits. It thus enables expansions such as heat pumps, solar systems, or ventilation with heat recovery.

Frequently asked questions

  • How exactly do I choose the output of a VAILLANT condensing boiler? The starting point is the calculated heat loss of the building being heated (most reliably taken from the project documentation or an energy certificate). If you don't have a project, you can roughly estimate 60-100 W per m² of floor area for a normally insulated house built after 2000, or 100-150 W/m² for an older, uninsulated house - the exact figure varies depending on the number of floors, ceiling height, the number and quality of windows, and the building's orientation. An oversized boiler switches on and off more often (so-called cycling), which shortens its lifespan and reduces efficiency; an undersized boiler, on the other hand, cannot heat the house sufficiently on frosty days.
  • Why is a condensing boiler more economical than a conventional one? A condensing boiler also makes use of the heat hidden in the water vapour produced when gas is burned - in a conventional boiler this vapour escapes unused through the flue, while in a condensing boiler it is cooled below the so-called dew point, the vapour condenses, and the released heat is returned to the heating circuit. Thanks to this, condensing boilers achieve an efficiency of roughly 105-110% relative to the calorific value of the gas, compared to the usual 85-92% for conventional boilers.
  • What type of flue gas exhaust does this boiler need? Most modern condensing boilers are so-called turbo boilers (with a sealed combustion chamber) and require a concentric (coaxial) or separate flue gas exhaust and combustion air intake routed through an external wall or the roof - so a functional chimney is not required. You will find the exact type and maximum length of the flue (based on a diameter of 60/100 or 80/125 mm) in the technical documentation for the specific model, or you can consult our customer service.
  • What does the ErP energy class shown for the boiler mean? This is the mandatory efficiency label for heating appliances under the EU ErP (Ecodesign) directive, similar to the energy labels on refrigerators. Condensing boilers commonly achieve class A, or even higher in combination with room controls (e.g. A+ when using weather-compensated control and a room thermostat).
  • Can I install and connect this boiler myself? No. Connecting to the natural gas supply, the electrical network and the flue gas exhaust must, by law, be carried out exclusively by a person with the relevant qualification (most often an authorised service technician of the given brand or a gas appliance inspection technician). After installation, the boiler must be commissioned by the manufacturer's authorised service, which is usually also a condition for the warranty to be valid.
  • What about servicing and the warranty? Most manufacturers require a regular annual service inspection by an authorised service provider so that the warranty remains valid even after its standard expiry (an extended warranty subject to regular servicing is common especially for the Vaillant, Protherm and Viessmann brands). You will find the exact warranty terms in the warranty certificate supplied with the boiler.
  • What is included in the delivery of this specific product? The exact contents of the package (the boiler itself, possibly a hot water tank, room controls and other accessories in the case of a set) are stated in the product name and in its technical parameters above on this page.

Easter Bunny in the logo - intended for the success of the company

Pink dwarfs and cute animals stand around and admire the miracle of the egg. Johann Vaillant is fascinated by the scene and decides to buy both the picture and the copyright. For Vaillant, this means the establishment of its brand and an extremely successful story.

Very distinctive brand profile

Since 1899, the motif has adorned all products, catalogs and brochures. In a few short years, Vaillant built an excellent reputation that spread throughout Germany and even beyond its borders. Vaillant gave its logo clear lines and outlines. "The Bunny in the Egg" remains the central theme, but the word "Vaillant" is added.

Many Germans know that the Vaillant Bunny belongs to a company based in North Rhine-Westphalia. Moreover: more than 70% of all Germans have heard of the company Vaillant. In Austria and the Netherlands, the company achieves similar results for its image.
