Press pipe end cap IVAR.IVN450 – stainless steel AISI 304, 35 mm
Code: IVN450.35Product detailed description
The IVAR.IVN450 end cap in size 35 mm closes the end of a stainless steel pipeline. It has a single press socket that is pushed onto pipe of the same diameter and pressed with a press tool – no threading and no welding. The fitting is not reduced.
The material is stainless steel 1.4301 (AISI 304) and the joint is sealed by an EPDM O-ring. The cap is marked with the AISI 304 logo, the size, a traceability code and a symbol showing it is not suitable for drinking water.
The LBP (Leak Before Press) O-ring is shaped so that an unpressed joint leaks during the pressure test and gives itself away. A second safeguard is the orange strip of the press indicator, which makes an unpressed cap recognisable at a glance.
Applications
- closed heating and cooling systems
- solar systems
- compressed air and vacuum systems
- inert and technical gases
- technical and process fluids, industrial applications
- waste water and rainwater
The circuit may contain antifreeze at a maximum concentration of 50 %. The end cap is not intended for drinking water installations.
Installation and pressing
Joints are pressed with M-profile jaws. For the 35 mm diameter, the system manual specifies single (one-piece) jaws; V-profile jaws must not be used on any size.
Cut the pipe end square, deburr it inside and out and mark the insertion depth with a marker. Before pushing the cap on, check the position of the O-ring; if necessary, moisten it with water only – oils, greases and lubricants must not be used. Follow the system installation manual and flush the circuit before commissioning; for treating heating water, the manufacturer recommends GEL.LONG LIFE 100.

Frequently asked questions
What is the IVAR.IVN450 end cap used for?
It closes the end of a 35 mm stainless steel pipeline. It is pushed onto the pipe and pressed in the same way as the other press fittings of the system, without threading.
Is the end cap also suitable for drinking water lines?
No. According to the manufacturer, the AISI 304 stainless steel cap is not suitable for drinking water, which is also indicated by a symbol on the product. It is intended for heating, cooling, solar circuits, compressed air and technical gases or fluids.
Which press jaws do I need for the 35 mm size?
M-profile jaws; for diameters from 15 to 35 mm, single jaws are sufficient. The system manual prohibits V-profile jaws.
How do I check that the cap has been pressed?
The orange strip of the press indicator and the LBP O-ring help here – an unpressed joint leaks through the O-ring during the pressure test. A missed pressing is therefore detected before commissioning.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
