The DAB.EVOPLUS D 80/240.50 M (code 60151010) is a wet-rotor circulator with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor whose speed is controlled by a frequency inverter. It belongs to the EVOPLUS range designed for larger heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems – apartment blocks and family houses, schools, hospitals or office buildings. This model is a twin pump: two single-phase motors sit on a common flanged body with DN 50 connection and 240 mm installation length, and can run alternately or simultaneously.

Performance of the EVOPLUS D 80/240.50 M

The circulator delivers a head of up to 8 m and a flow of up to 49.52 m³/h, with a maximum power input P1 of 330 W. With an energy efficiency index EEI ≤ 0.22 it complies with the ErP Directive 2009/125/EC. The electronics continuously monitor hydraulic changes in the system, for example when individual branches open and close, and adjust the speed accordingly – the circuit receives the flow it needs without wasting energy.

Design

The pump body is made of cast iron and the impellers of technopolymer; the stainless steel shafts run in ceramic bearings lubricated by the pumped liquid, and the motor housings are die-cast aluminium. An automatic check valve in the discharge port prevents backflow into the unit that is not running. A blind flange is supplied so that either motor can be removed for maintenance or service. Thermal insulation of the twin body is provided by the installer, taking care not to block the condensate drain. The motors need no external protection – the electronics protect them against overload, overheating, phase loss and over- and undervoltage.

Installation and operating conditions

The circulator is always installed with the motor shaft horizontal; the control electronics must be in a vertical position and must not be insulated. The fluid must be clean, free of solid particles and mineral oils, with no more than 30% glycol and a temperature of −10 to +110 °C; the ambient temperature must not exceed 40 °C. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar, and at least 10 m water column at 90 °C, or 20 m at 110 °C, must be maintained on the suction side. DN 50 PN 10 counter flanges are not included and are available to order. The cast-iron version is not intended for drinking water. Electrical connection (1 × 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz) and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified professional.
