IVAR.DECLO 045 is a column filter filled with activated carbon. It captures chlorine and its compounds, TOC, non-polar and organic substances and, where needed, pesticides and herbicides, making it suitable for treating drinking, service and process water. The programmable electronic WSCI unit starts flushing of the media by time or by the volume of water that has passed. Regeneration uses flushing water only – no chemicals are added to the water.

The DECLO range covers sizes 030 to 500 with flow rates from 1.8 to 30 m³/h.
Installation requirements
- connection to a sewer drain with sufficient capacity – the drain port on the control unit is 3/4" male thread
- a 230 V socket within reach of the power adapter
- shut-off valves, pressure gauges and sampling valves on both inlet and outlet
- a lockable bypass for the whole treatment plant and for the filter itself
- a mechanical impurity filter both upstream and downstream of the carbon filter (e.g. DEPURA)
Before start-up the filter must be regenerated and flushed with clean water, otherwise particles from the media may be released into the pipework.
Commissioning: after installation the filter is first flushed thoroughly at an inlet pressure of at least 3 bar with the outlet kept closed, so that no turbid water reaches the building's pipework. Once clear water runs from the drain, an authorised technician sets up and starts the unit – otherwise the right to warranty repairs is lost. A 24-month warranty covers material defects.

How is the media regenerated?

Why is the filter flushed before start-up?
