Frequently Asked Questions
- Which type of filter cartridge to choose - PP or stainless steel? A polypropylene (PP) cartridge is cheaper and suitable for common filtration, a stainless steel mesh cartridge is washable and reusable, suitable for more frequent contamination.
- Is there a difference between a cold water and hot water filter? Yes, hot water filters must be dimensioned for a higher operating temperature and pressure; a standard cold water filter should not be used after a boiler.
- What are demineralisation filters? They remove dissolved mineral substances from water using an ion exchange cartridge, used for example when preparing feed water for steam and some technological systems.
- How is the filter size (5", 10") selected? According to the required filtration capacity and throughput - a larger housing (10") means a larger filtration area and a longer interval between cartridge replacements.
