IVAR.DEFEMN 060 EM (code IVA.106.DFEM) is a column filter for the treatment of drinking and technical water. It captures iron, manganese and ammonium ions and at the same time reduces total hardness, thus softening the water. It is controlled by a programmable electronic unit WSCI according to time or volume passed, and the output hardness can be adjusted. It includes a separate brine tank with brine piping; the device has a certificate for drinking water.

Installation and start-up
The unit includes a mechanical impurities filter (e.g. GEL.DEPURA), sampling valves, shut-off valves, pressure gauges, drain and bypass for the entire unit and the filter itself. Plastic connections should be sealed with Teflon material. Before start-up, the outlet valve must be closed to prevent unfiltered water from entering the distribution system. Commissioning and setting of the output hardness is carried out by an authorized technician in agreement with IVAR service. The amount of substances removed and the filter capacity depend on the analysis of the incoming water. The warranty against material defects is 24 months.
