Where a pipe turns through 90°, an angle ball valve saves you an extra elbow and joint. Series 59 is female-threaded on both sides (FF), while series 59/1 combines female and male threads (FM); both are operated by a butterfly handle and come in 1/2", 3/4" and 1".
