The EKA NIS 160-1,2-1F (type IVAR.EKA-NIS, code IVACC003804) is an electric air heater for ventilation systems with SMARTY units. Depending on where it is installed, it works as a pre-heater or re-heater for the fresh air. The 1.2 kW output is regulated by an external analogue 0–10 V signal, with single-phase 230 V supply.

- two safety thermostats – with automatic reset (50 °C) and manual reset (100 °C)

Installation conditions
- air velocity in the duct at least 1.5 m/s, minimum air flow 110 m³/h
- maximum outlet air temperature 50 °C
- horizontal mounting with the terminal box facing up or sideways, vertical only with upward air flow
- indoors only and for clean air, not in explosive atmospheres or environments with aggressive substances
Connection to the mains may only be carried out by a qualified electrician. The circuit requires a B-characteristic circuit breaker, which is not supplied.
