The anti-magnetite filter Ermetiq with 1" connection is part of central heating systems, where it captures magnetite, i.e., abrasive sludge from iron oxides, and other ferromagnetic particles carried by water. Filtration is carried out by magnetic separation: strong magnets attract impurities and hold them, so they do not proceed further into the circuit. Magnetite is formed by the corrosion of iron components of the heating system and, if not removed, settles in the most sensitive areas.
What the filter protects
Less sludge in the water means less wear and a lower risk of clogging. The filter thus contributes to the protection of the circulation pump, boiler heat exchanger, valves and distributors, and helps maintain the efficiency of the entire installation.
