The IVAR.GL 40 rail (code 602000040) holds the pipes of a wet underfloor heating system on a smooth insulation or concrete base board and keeps the loops at the required centre spacing. It is designed for pipes with an outside diameter of 16, 17 and 18 mm, laid at spacings of 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 or 300 mm.

Laying procedure
On smooth insulation boards, the manufacturer recommends first laying the IVAR.FR or IVAR.FRO grid separation foil, then fixing the rails and finally laying the heating loops. For anchoring into smooth insulation boards it specifies IVAR.PPA fixing nails; into a concrete slab, screws or other anchoring material.
The rail with a 18 mm nail is code 602000018 (IVAR.GL 18); the self-adhesive IVAR.GL version is code 602000017.
