Thermostats for pumps and boiler rooms let you set a temperature that is sensed on the boiler pipework. Depending on the temperature measured, they switch the circulation pump on or off. This arrangement is used when a hot water cylinder or buffer tank needs to be heated up, and also to protect the boiler circuit. You can choose from conventional bimetallic strap-on thermostats right through to electronic thermostats with adjustable hysteresis and automatic or manual operation.

The Avansa 110E will control your pump or hot water cylinder
The Avansa 110E thermostat is used to control a heating circulation pump. Its job is to switch the pump on at the moment the temperature exceeds the set value. Equally, the thermostat switches it off if the boiler cools down because the fire has gone out. This prevents the pump from running unnecessarily and so extends its service life. It also saves electricity – the saving can be as much as 60%, depending on how the boiler is used. Wear on the pump is reduced as well, and with it the cost of maintenance.

You can also use the thermostat to control a hot water cylinder circuit and have it start at, say, thirty degrees. That way the cylinder is not cooled by cold water, and the pump contact closes once the required temperature has been detected.
The clean lines and simple design of the Avansa 110E thermostat underline its versatility. The display on the front is accompanied by an “On/Off” switch and plus, minus and menu buttons. On the back, the thermostat has holes for wall mounting.

Quick installation and simple operation
The thermostat is quick and easy to install. The Avansa 110E has three leads: a 230 V power supply, the pump control output and the temperature sensor. Once it is plugged into a socket and switched to the “On” position, the thermostat comes on and its display shows the temperature currently being measured. Press the “Menu” button and you can use the “+” and “-” buttons to raise or lower the required temperature. After a few seconds without any input, the thermostat automatically returns to displaying the current temperature. If you want to check that the pump is working, press the “Menu” and “+” buttons together to switch to manual mode and confirm its current status. Pressing the same buttons again switches the pump off.

Functions that save you the worry
The Avansa 110E has an anti-stop function. This protects the pump from seizing outside the heating season by running it for 15 seconds every 15 days. No less important is the frost protection function, which switches the pump on when the temperature falls below 5°C. The thermostat also has an audible alarm that signals a high boiler temperature, adjustable up to 90 degrees.
The Avansa 110E thermostat also stands out for its other technical specifications, such as a temperature setting range from five to eighty degrees Celsius and a sensor temperature range from -10°C to +120°C. It will serve you well when installed in an environment with a temperature of between -10 and +50 degrees Celsius.
The pack supplied contains the Avansa 110E temperature controller, fixings and a manual, which is also available at www.atria.sk.
