Hello, I would like to ask whether a wood gasification boiler or a conventional steel boiler is better, and what the advantages and disadvantages of each are

Hello, a gasification boiler has higher efficiency. Have a nice day.

Hello, I need some advice on how to connect up a heating system. My installer is trying to persuade me that the boiler has to be connected to the mains water in the house so that the system can be topped up. Our system consists of: a 27 kw pellet boiler, a 1000 l buffer tank and a 125 l hot water cylinder. The problem is that we have very hard water and I would rather not use it in the heating system. How can the water in the system be topped up? (via the buffer tank, the expansion vessel???) Thank you for your reply

Hello. I must admit I don't quite follow: the system is filled with water, i.e. pressurised, only once, and the water then stays in it for years . If you have hard water, use a water softener connected to the system. As for how to top the water up, well, through a valve that you can fit practically anywhere. Have a nice day.

I don't understand it either, which is why I'm asking. The installer claims that the water in the system needs topping up over time because it supposedly gets used up. He says it is similar with gas boilers, where you have to add water when the pressure drops (re-pressurise?). Thank you for your response.

The water will never disappear of its own accord, only if there were a small leak somewhere. But whenever a system is pressurised, it is done through small valves like these, which you simply connect to the system https://www.atria.sk/vykurovacia-technika/kurenie-profesionalne/gulove-ventile-filtre-klapky/vypustacie-ventile/. You really can fit one anywhere in the boiler room. Have a nice day.

Thank you for the explanation. Can you tell me how big an expansion vessel I need, and whether I have to have 3 expansion vessels (boiler, buffer tank, hot water cylinder) or whether just 1 is enough? Many thanks and have a nice day.

Hello. You can have just one, but the boiler and the tank should be connected in one system. I would put it at about 30 litres. For the hot water cylinder, if it is up to around 200 litres, no expansion vessel is needed. Have a nice day

Hm, I read somewhere that the volume of the expansion vessel for the tank should be at least 4% of the tank volume. Otherwise water will escape through the safety valve? Could you briefly explain this to me as well? Many thanks.

Hello, I would like to find out where the problem might be. I have a solid fuel boiler, I heat it up to 80 and the pump switches on at 40. I have a house with 6 rooms one after another, and in the last 2 rooms the radiators are only lukewarm, as if the pump could not push the hot water as far as the last room, or else I don't understand where the fault could be. Thank you

Hello, we have combined heating, solid fuel (wood) and a gas boiler. When the heating is on, one radiator does not heat up fully; it is the one where the water expansion tank used to be, which has now been replaced by a valve. When I bleed it, water comes out and no air hisses, yet despite bleeding, it does this on solid fuel, and when the gas is switched on it even gurgles. Does the expansion vessel on the gas boiler also need bleeding, and if so, how? Please advise, thank you

A solid fuel boiler with built-in "instantaneous" water heating (a heat exchanger) does exist - they are made by the company Modratherm in Modra...

Good evening, I would like to ask whether you stock a catering roasting tin about 15 cm high, to be filled with oil, and what it costs

Hello. Can you advise me on choosing a boiler? Can you also arrange installation and commissioning for me? Thank you for your reply

Hello. We could certainly advise you, but we do not know what type you had in mind. Condensing, gas, etc. Every customer arranges fitting and installation themselves. People mostly find an installer on the manufacturer's website.

I don't know the type either. The situation is that I have a family house: downstairs a 3,5x3m bathroom and a heated 4x5 cellar, on the middle floor a bedroom, living room and kitchen totalling 66m, and in the loft two children's rooms, 77m. Everything is heated by gas convector heaters and sometimes by a fireplace insert. Water is heated by a Mora instantaneous water heater. The problem is that after 10 years the Mora has reached the end of its life and I have to buy something new. So I am thinking of buying a boiler straight away and gradually replacing the convector heaters with radiators. I don't know what is needed for this or roughly what it costs.

Hello. The most common solution is to fit a condensing boiler https://www.atria.sk/kondenzacne-kotly/ , which will also heat your water. You fit radiators in place of the convector heaters. However, we are not able to estimate the price. Ask a heating engineer for a quote and order the materials through the online shop. It will work out much cheaper for you.

Hello, I do not understand the question. You sent the form, but I cannot see which product you were looking at. In any case, combi boilers have a built-in hot water heat exchanger. All the boilers in this section. https://www.atria.sk/kondenzacne-kotly/s-prietokom-ohrevom-tuv/

Sorry, I expressed myself badly. I need a solid fuel boiler with a hot water heat exchanger for a family house with radiators sized 6x160cm and 3x100cm .Thanks

Hello, well, I think we have misunderstood each other again. There is no such thing as a solid fuel boiler with a water heat exchanger. If you also want to use it to heat hot (drinking) water, an external hot water cylinder has to be fitted.
