How the UV sterilizer works
The polished stainless steel chamber made of AISI 304 contains a UV lamp in a quartz glass sleeve. The low-pressure lamp emits monochromatic UVC radiation with a wavelength of 254 nm, which damages the RNA and DNA of microorganisms so they cannot multiply. The radiation dose is higher than 40 mJ/cm².

Maintenance and installation
- clean the quartz tube every 3–6 months with alcohol or a special cleaning agent and replace it after 24 months
- replace the O-ring every 9–12 months
- replace the UV lamp after 10 000 operating hours (approximately 9–12 months)
Install the sterilizer in an easily accessible location where freezing does not occur (min. +5 °C). Installation and electrical connections must be carried out only by a qualified person. UV radiation can damage the skin and eyes and quartz glass is fragile – handle with care.

What flow rate can the UV lamp IVA.HA365 handle?
Model FC-20 is designed for a maximum of 4536 l/h with a 6/4" connection. For a higher flow rate, up to 10 200 l/h, the model IVA.HA380 with a 2" connection is available.
How often should the UV lamp be replaced?
After approximately 10 000 operating hours, which is about 9–12 months. After that, the germicidal efficiency drops rapidly, even though the lamp is still lit.
How to care for the quartz tube?
Clean it every 3–6 months depending on water quality with alcohol or a special agent and replace it after 24 months. The O-ring is replaced every 9–12 months.
