water / water heat pumps
Thermia water-to-water heat pumps extract heat from groundwater or surface water and transfer it to the heating system and for domestic hot water production. We offer the LEGEND 4 (WW) with a built-in 184 l hot water tank and the inverter-driven CALIBRA E 8 DUO (WW) with an output of 2–8 kW for connection to a separate water heater.

- When is a water/water heat pump preferable to a ground/water one? If groundwater with sufficient yield is available (a well), water/water pumps achieve higher and more stable efficiency than ground or air pumps, since groundwater temperature stays almost constant throughout the year.
- What series do you offer? IVAR.HP WW LEGEND, WW ATLAS and WW CALIBRA ECO, including DUO versions with a built-in domestic hot water tank and the COOL version with cooling capability.
- Is a permit required for groundwater extraction? Yes, both extraction and discharge are subject to water authority permits - check the requirements with the relevant authority before implementation.
