Stable heating pressure without a technician call-out
In normal operation the system pressure gradually falls because gases dissolved in the water escape through air vents and air separators. When the pressure drops below the limit, the heat source shuts down until the pressure is restored. The IVAR.GA 00 is connected between the cold water supply and the heating circuit: if the pressure falls below the set value, it lets in mains water by itself, and once the required pressure is reached the guide plate closes the inflow again.

Installation and setting
The valve can be fitted in horizontal or vertical pipework, always in the direction of the arrow on the body. It is usually placed between two ball valves, which are closed when cleaning the screen, and an additional filter is recommended at the cold water connection. The manufacturer also recommends a ball valve on the water supply that is only opened during filling. The outlet pressure is adjusted with an Allen key – clockwise increases it – and the setting can be sealed. Installation should be carried out by a qualified installer.

Frequently asked questions
What pressure is the valve factory-set to?
The outlet pressure is factory-set to 1.5 bar. With an Allen key you can adjust it between 0.5 and 4 bar and check the value on the pressure gauge.
Can the automatic filling be switched off temporarily?
Yes, turning the white hand knob to the right, clockwise, closes the shut-off valve and stops the filling.
How is the filter screen cleaned?
Close the ball valves before and after the unit, unscrew the centre screw of the hand knob and remove the shut-off insert with the screen. Rinse or replace the screen, reassemble the unit and check the set pressure.
Can water from the heating flow back into the mains?
No, the unit has an integrated check valve that prevents heating water from flowing back if the pressure in the cold water supply drops.
