Flushing pump GEL.LONG LIFE SUPER FLUSH 40 – 40 l, 102 l/min, hydraulic flow reverser
Code: 121.094.00Product detailed description
The GEL.LONG LIFE SUPER FLUSH 40 (code 121.094.00) is a vertical axial pump with a 40 l tank for flushing and descaling heating and cooling systems. It is suitable for underfloor heating, radiators, heat exchangers, cooling circuits and solar systems.
Main features
- flow rate 102 l/min, head 18 m, 0.75 HP motor
- flow reverser – the solution circulates clockwise and anticlockwise
- two three-way valves, connections to the water supply, drain and safety overflow
- 1" F connection, 230 V / 50 Hz supply, IP 54 protection
- wheels for easy moving, weight 19 kg
What it removes
Scale, calcium and magnesium deposits, iron and manganese oxides, bacteria including iron bacteria as well as organic matter, films and algae. The manufacturer recommends cleaners from the BOILER CLEANER and LONG LIFE ranges; residual acidity after cleaning is neutralised with BOILER CLEANER N.
Flushing procedure
- first flush with clean water for at least 2 minutes, then reverse the direction
- chemical flush with the water inlet and drain closed, reversing every 5–10 minutes; cleaning usually takes 2–3 hours
- final flush with clean water for as long as dirt comes out of the system
- the pump can also be used to fill the system with corrosion inhibitor or antifreeze
The solution temperature must not exceed 50 °C. Citric, acetic, hydrochloric, formic, phosphoric and sulfamic acid and sodium hydroxide may only be used up to the concentrations in the technical data sheet; sulphuric, nitric and hydrofluoric acid and aqua regia must not be used.

Frequently asked questions
What is the SUPER FLUSH 40 pump used for?
For flushing and removing deposits from underfloor heating, radiators, heat exchangers, cooling circuits and solar systems.
How long does cleaning a system take?
It depends on how dirty the system is; the chemical flush usually takes 2 to 3 hours. The flow direction is reversed every 5 to 10 minutes.
Which chemicals must not be used in the pump?
Sulphuric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid and aqua regia. Other acids and sodium hydroxide are permitted only up to the concentrations given in the technical data sheet.
Can I use the pump to fill the system with inhibitor or antifreeze?
Yes. With the water inlet and drain closed, pour the product into the tank and let the pump run for a few minutes.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
