IVAR.ASPIRCOMFORT CLASS 1200H Wi-Fi (code IVAP200481W) is a decentralised ventilation unit with heat recovery designed for horizontal installation. It provides controlled air exchange in classrooms, offices or workspaces, removes moisture and odours and saves heating energy at the same time. It is particularly suited to individual rooms where a conventional ducted system is not feasible.

Design and equipment

• self-supporting sheet-metal frame with internal polyethylene thermal and acoustic insulation
• two polypropylene counterflow plate heat exchangers, operation down to -25 °C outdoors
• EC centrifugal fans with forward-curved blades and modulating control (3 + 2 pcs), 4 speeds
• pleated ePM1 70% filters with low pressure drop, removed after taking off the lower panels
• bypass with motorised damper for free cooling, frost protection, filter clogging alert
• air connections 2 × Ø 250 mm, condensate drain 20 mm

Control

Operation requires the IVA1591008 touch-screen control panel with Wi-Fi module, ordered separately. It has temperature, relative humidity and air quality sensors that adjust fan speed automatically, and enables app control over Wi-Fi. It connects to the unit with a 4-core cable – a 10 m cable with connector is supplied with the unit.

Installation

The unit is suspended on a wall or ceiling, either right next to the external wall with straight openings to the outside or further away with ducts no longer than 8 m. Install it in rooms between 0 and 45 °C, not in bathrooms or toilets. The condensate drain needs a trap, a fall of at least 2% and must discharge to a frost-free location. Supplied with outdoor grilles with fixed louvres and spring fixing, plus plastic film sleeves for lining the wall openings, 2 spigots and 2 wall sleeves Ø 250 mm and a wall/ceiling bracket. Leave the 230 V connection and commissioning to a qualified professional.

Frequently asked questions

Is the control panel included?
No. The unit does not run without a control panel, so the IVA1591008 panel with Wi-Fi module must be ordered as well. The 10 m connecting cable with connector comes with the unit.

Does the unit need ductwork?
Not necessarily. It can be mounted directly against the external wall with openings to the outside, or further away and connected with Ø 250 mm ducts up to 8 m long.

Where does the condensate go?
Condensate drains through a hose on the left side of the unit to the sewer or outside; the drain needs a trap, a fall of at least 2% and must not freeze.

How is the unit maintained?
The ePM1 filters are vacuumed or replaced after removing the lower panels. The manufacturer recommends checking the heat exchanger once a year and cleaning it if needed – a job for a professional.
