The IVAR.TER-SELT DN 32 consists of a SELTRON BVQ 2-way ball valve with Rp 1 1/4" female thread and an AQD actuator mounted on top. The assembly provides open/closed zone control and serves as a shut-off element in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), cooling and hot water systems; it is also used in industry and agriculture.

AQD actuator

• 230 V~ supply, 2-point ON/OFF control
• torque 5 Nm, 90° rotation in 13 s
• power consumption 5 W, under 0.25 W in standby
• the manual mode button disengages the motor so the valve can be set with the rotary knob; the current position is marked on the actuator
• the opening direction is changed with a selector hidden under the rotary knob
• the actuator is pushed onto the valve with one hand, no tools needed, and a lock prevents it from coming loose
• protection IP42, safety class II to EN 60730-1, 1 m cable, PC thermoplastic housing

The actuator is tested for 100,000 cycles, runs quietly and, thanks to its compact design, fits even where several actuators sit close together. Permitted ambient temperature is 0 to +55 °C at up to 85 % humidity without condensation. Installation and electrical connection may only be carried out by a suitably qualified person.
