2-way zone valve SELTRON BVQ DN 40 Rp 1 1/2" with AQD actuator 230 V, Kvs 170 – IVAR.TER-SELT
Code: 10.01.11.1009Product detailed description
The IVAR.TER-SELT DN 40 consists of a SELTRON BVQ 2-way ball valve with Rp 1 1/2" female thread and an AQD actuator mounted on top. The assembly provides open/closed zone control and serves as a shut-off element in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), cooling and hot water systems; it is also used in industry and agriculture.
AQD actuator
- 230 V~ supply, 2-point ON/OFF control
- torque 8 Nm, 90° rotation in 13 s
- power consumption 5 W, under 0.25 W in standby
- the manual mode button disengages the motor so the valve can be set with the rotary knob; the current position is marked on the actuator
- the opening direction is changed with a selector hidden under the rotary knob
- the actuator is pushed onto the valve with one hand, no tools needed, and a lock prevents it from coming loose
- protection IP42, safety class II to EN 60730-1, 1 m cable, PC thermoplastic housing
BVQ DN 40 valve
- Rp 1 1/2" female thread connection, length 104 mm
- flow coefficient Kvs 170 m³/h
- stem secured against blow-out and sealed with three O-rings
- working fluid temperature 10 to 90 °C
The actuator is tested for 100,000 cycles, runs quietly and, thanks to its compact design, fits even where several actuators sit close together. Permitted ambient temperature is 0 to +55 °C at up to 85 % humidity without condensation. Installation and electrical connection may only be carried out by a suitably qualified person.
The IVAR.TER-SELT series includes 2-way zone valves from DN 25 to DN 50 and 3-way diverting valves.

Frequently asked questions
What is the 2-way BVQ DN 40 zone valve with AQD actuator used for?
For open/closed zone control and as a shut-off element in heating, cooling, air-conditioning and domestic hot water. It is also suitable for industrial and agricultural pipe networks.
Can the valve be operated by hand?
Yes. Pressing the manual mode button disengages the motor and the valve is set with the rotary knob; pressing it again ends manual mode.
Are tools needed to fit the actuator onto the valve?
No, the actuator is pushed onto the valve body with one hand and held by a locking mechanism. To remove it, simply pull it off.
What fluid temperature can the valve handle?
The working fluid can be between 10 and 90 °C. The actuator withstands ambient temperatures of 0 to +55 °C at up to 85 % humidity without condensation.
