What you need for a radiator with bottom connections

You will find bottom-connection radiators in the radiators with bottom connections category, and the full range in the radiators category.

Shown below are the products you may also need to install a radiator with bottom connections

Every domestic radiator of standard output already comes with

a wall-mounting kit or brackets, but it never includes thermostatic

or other valves, or the radiator's bottom connection fittings.

The following accessories therefore need to be ordered separately.

Move your mouse over the items below.

Example of how a radiator with bottom connections is piped up:

The picture shows a radiator with bottom connections. The pipework is chased into the wall.

You can see the angled connection, the compression fitting, the pipe and the pipe cover

I would like to ask at what height I should cut the chase for the pipework to connect a radiator with bottom connections. Thank you

Hello. There is no fixed rule for this, so do it whichever way works well for you. Or allow roughly 5 cm, so that you can wrap the pipe in insulation as well. Have a nice day.

Good day. I would like to ask whether the height of this radiator really is 1135mm, as the table shown below the product only lists heights of 960 and 1320 mm. Thank you

Hello, I honestly cannot tell you right now which dimension is correct; we use two manufacturers with the same design, and it depends on which one we currently have in stock. Have a nice day

VKS radiators are made with an integrated valve set with a central bottom connection – the connection is in the middle of the radiator. Is it possible for the thermostatic head to be on the left-hand side of the radiator? Thank you.

Hello. I would like to ask for your advice on connecting radiators and routing the pipes. I am attaching my connection plan and would like to know whether it could be done this way; if not, please advise me on the best way to do it. PS: The white lines are the radiators. Thank you and kind regards

Hello, having looked at the sketch, we think the pipework can be run along the wall without any problem. However, I would recommend contacting an installation company, who can advise you more precisely on site. Have a nice day-

Hello. I would like to ask where it is best to position radiators, as we are building a house and would like expert advice on whether under the windows is right or somewhere else, for example.. Thank you

Hello. I would like to know whether another radiator can be connected from an existing one, but in a downstairs room – the others are upstairs, in a two-storey house.

Hello, I want to replace the radiators in my house. I like the Korad ones with side connections, but I do not know how many kilowatts the radiator for each room should be. For example, I have a room measuring 4x4.5m – which radiator would you recommend there...? Is there a universal formula for working out the kilowatts? Thank you in advance. Mario

Hello, as a general rule you need roughly 1000 W or more per 10 square metres. The output is always given in the name of each radiator.

Hello, we need a radiator with an output of around 2300W. You give a single output figure, namely the Radiator 22VK 400 x 1800 with an output of 2241W, whereas on other sites I found two output figures. I would like to know under what conditions this radiator achieves the stated output. We need to heat 30 square metres – a kitchen combined with a living room in a flat – brick, attic. If you can advise us, the height must be 400 and the ideal length would be 1600. I have already ordered one model from you, a 33VK 400x1400, but after a phone call we decided to cancel the order because of the 4-week wait, and we were also not entirely sure the radiator was suitable.

Allow 10 kW per 100 square metres and always oversize a little. Then watch the window sill, to make sure the radiator fits underneath; the best-selling radiators are 22 vk, vkp 600 x something.

Please could you recommend a type of radiator with bottom connections for a block of flats with 8 floors; I live in a flat on the 1st floor. We currently have steel panel radiators with bottom connections, and over the past 30 years we have been flooded 3 times because a radiator rusted through and leaked. It usually happened while we were on holiday and nobody was at home. Please recommend a type that will give me greater safety in this respect.

Hello, that is a difficult question to answer. I have never heard of new, modern radiators leaking; after thirty years they may of course leak, but then nothing lasts for ever.

I would like to ask about the technical details for the radiator – at what height to fit it and so on? And the installation details for the angled radiator valve set .. what height, connection spacing etc. Thank you for your reply

You can fit the radiator at any height. There is no problem with that at all. I also do not understand which spacing on the valve set you mean. It has its own standardised spacing, which fits all radiators.

Hello. That is a hard question. It depends on the size of the room, but for a smallish kitchen a radiator 600 high and about 600 long as well would do. https://www.atria.sk/radiatory/radiatory-s-spodnym-pripojenim/typ-22/vyska-600-mm/
