Hello, I want to replace the Destila 31 gas boiler in my house with a Panter 25 condensing boiler. I heat water with a separate gas water heater. Is that a good choice? What is the warranty (Slovak) ? Thank you.
-
Hello. Yes, it is a good choice. The standard warranty is 2 years, but it can be extended through a Protherm service engineer. Have a nice day.
-
Hello. I have a question: is it possible, and will it work, if I connect a multilayer pipe to the radiator, run it into the floor (something like underfloor heating) and then back into the radiator circuit? If it can be done this way, how many metres can such a loop be at most? I have a boiler with a pump. Thank you
-
Hello. It will work, but the floor may draw off more of the heat and the radiator may then not heat up. I would not do it that way. I would make one separate branch to the radiator and another to the floor. Have a nice day.
-
hello , is there any point in fitting a thermostatic valve to a radiator in a room where there is a remote control for the heating ? /we have our own Imergast boiler in the flat / thank you
-
Hello. Yes, of course. It is used to control the temperature in the room. Have a nice day.
-
Hello, I am a layperson, so I would like to ask whether I can connect your radiators with a 1/2" connection to 3/4"? If so, will the radiator lose any heat output? Is a reducer possible there? The boiler has a pump. Thank you for your reply, and I hope you have understood me? :-)
-
Hello. Yes, you can, with no problem at all. There are reducers for everything and nothing will be lost. That is, as long as it is an ordinary house with no more than 5 radiators on one branch. Have a nice day.
-
Hello. I have one more question. For the radiators you state that they are suitable for normal humidity. Does that mean they do not belong in a bathroom? E.g. K22 radiators. And I am still not clear about 1000W per 10m2; it seems too little to me. In our bathroom we have a 20-section pressed steel column radiator, 800x1100, and an air temperature of 24 degrees. The bathroom has an area of 7.28m2. So which radiator should I actually choose? Thank you for your reply.
-
Hello. Standard radiators are sized at 1 kW per 10 metres, but towel radiators are used in bathrooms and they are basically hard to calculate. People tend to go for larger ones. Have a nice day.
-
Hello. The product description of the 21VK 400 x 2400 radiator, output 2290W, states that the bottom connection is left/right according to the order. However, the general description of Stellrad radiators with bottom connection says: "Some radiators are reversible, which in our case applies to the Stellrad radiator. This means that they are fixed to the wall with brackets and we can turn them any way round.. " Question: Can these radiators really be turned any way round?
-
Hello, yes, you are right, these radiators are reversible; they have no hanging lugs on the back, so you can fix them to the wall either way round. They are fixed with a sheet-metal bracket similar to the kind used on plasterboard. Have a nice day.
-
Hello, in my house I am planning to replace conventional pressed steel radiators with side connection (height 600 mm, length e.g. 1400 mm, which corresponds to 30 sections) with more modern panel radiators. In your range I have found side-connection radiators of types 21K, 22K and 33K. Are these types an equivalent replacement in terms of output? What is the difference between these radiator types? Thank you for your reply. Kind regards
-
Hello, the designations 21K, 22K etc. indicate the width, that is the depth, of the radiator. The most common size is 22K. The most important thing, however, is to estimate the right radiator output at least roughly. For a room of 10m2 you need a radiator with an output of approx. 1000W, and this output is given for every size. So choose a slightly higher one if that is an option. If, for example, you do not have room for the length, you can also choose a deeper one, e.g. 33K. Have a nice day.
-
Hello, I want to take a branch for another radiator in the next room off the connection to an existing radiator. The radiator is side-connected to a vertical riser and I would like to branch off from that side connection to another radiator. I would like to run the return pipe at its existing level and the flow slightly above it. The new radiator would thus be connected straight to the return pipe, and the flow would be raised through two elbows to the level of the radiator inlet. It is in a block of flats. Will it work? Can I do it this way? Thank you.
-
Hello, I must admit I would very much like to help you, but I have read your message three times and somehow cannot make sense of it. In any case, you can take a branch off anywhere, exactly as shown in the picture "what you need for a radiator". If you like, send us a sketch of how you imagine it and we will take a look. Have a nice day.
-
What I want to know is whether it will work if I do not run the pipes at the same level as those to the first radiator. I have drawn a more realistic sketch, so hopefully it will be easier to understand. Kind regards,
-
Now I understand - sure, it will work; the pipework can be at a different level and does not have to be in one plane at all. This is not a gravity system; you must have a boiler with a pump. The pump circulates the water and does not care how the pipework twists and turns. Have a nice day.
-
Please: how do I connect a radiator with pipe centres of 55 cm to old pipework at, say, 53,5 cm? Thank you for your reply.
-
Hello, I have two questions: 1. Does it matter which side, right or left, I connect the Radiator 33K 400 x 900 to the heating from? 2. What is supplied with this radiator? Are brackets for hanging it on the wall included?
-
Hello, yes, with these radiators it does not matter which way round you turn them, so they can be connected from either the left or the right side. The brackets are included in the packaging. Have a nice day

Hello, I have a question for you and also a request. In the summer I bought STELRAD radiators for my new house. They are type 22 with a height of 600mm. I have various lengths - 800, 900, 1000 and 1600. It is the 1600 ones I have a problem with. They simply will not circulate. I even tried closing all the others and leaving just one 1600mm open, and nothing. Can you advise me what the fault might be??? Could it be the pump? Personally I do not think it is the pump, because it drives all those shorter than 1600 mm and even three towel radiators as well. I have a three-speed WILO pump and its highest output is 93W. Please try to advise me what is causing it. Thank you in advance
-
Hello, there could be several problems, but from where I am sitting it is hard to pinpoint the right one. The fault may lie in the hydraulic balancing of the system, a weak pump or the way the radiators are connected. Have a nice day.
-
hello, I have a question . I am building a house with a floor area of 390m2, 6 bedrooms ,2 bathrooms, a hall ,kitchen, study and 2 corridors. Which boiler should I use? We want a wood boiler but do not know what output or which brand. Thank you in advance for your reply.
-
Hello, could I send you the floor plan of my flat with a view to a quotation for the appliances and pipework, including installation? Thank you. Kind regards
-
Hello, unfortunately we do not provide quotations or installation.
-
hello, I need a straight radiator valve 1" - can it be ordered from you? what would the price be? thank you
-
Hello, the full range of radiator accessories is listed here https://www.atria.sk/clanky/suvisiaci-tovar-2/#radiatory
-
I would like to know which radiator with side connection is suitable for a room measuring 3,5 x 3,5 with a ceiling height of 2,6m.
-
As a rough guide, allow 1 kW of radiator output per 10 square metres. The output is given for every radiator; choose a height of 600, type 22, and a length to suit. For example this one https://www.atria.sk/radiator-22k-600-x-800-vykon-1386w/
-
I am refurbishing a flat and that includes changing the radiators. There are old cast iron ones with side connection. I have taken them down, put the thermostatic heads aside and temporarily capped off the pipe ends. I am thinking of buying new radiators with side connection. Does your company also do installation? I would need someone to come and have a look, recommend a type and take care of the installation as well, with a quotation. Can you advise me on this?
-
Hello, unfortunately we are an online shop only; we do not carry out installation or radiator sizing. Try calling out a local installer to specify the radiators for you, and then you can buy them more cheaply online.
-
good day.. please... what is the difference between a radiator with side connection and a radiator with bottom connection? (not in price) which is the better solution
-
Greetings. It is purely a matter of design; new houses have the pipework chased into the wall, so it looks neater to connect the radiator from below. There is nothing more to it than that. https://www.atria.sk/clanky/suvisiaci-tovar-2/#radiatory
-
hello, I would like some information: I want to replace the radiator in every room of my flat and you have interesting prices, so which radiator do I need for rooms of 24m2
-
As a rough guide, for every 10 square metres you need a radiator with an output of 1000W; this figure is always given for each radiator. It is better to oversize slightly, and do make sure it fits under the window sill. Have a look at the related products for radiators here as well https://www.atria.sk/clanky/suvisiaci-tovar-2/
-
hello, I would like to order a radiator from your range but I do not know which one. We live in a prefabricated block of flats and have just an ordinary old radiator in the children's room, so I do not know what to go by when choosing. Thank you
-
First of all check the height, so that it fits under the window and its sill. Then the size of the room: 1kW of heat output is enough for 10 m2, so never go smaller. The output is given for every radiator. It is better to buy one slightly too large than too small.
-
Hello. I would like to ask what the size and heat output of a radiator depend on in relation to the size of a room in a flat. Are there prescribed dimensions or a capacity for this? I have two rooms in the flat measuring 4,7x3,5m and one of 3,5x3,5m + a kitchen. Can I put any radiator in such rooms, or is it laid down somehow, and if so, which? Can you advise me? Thank you.
-
Hello. The usual rule of thumb is 1 kW per 10 square metres of floor area. The output is always given for each radiator, so you can roughly work out the size of radiator you need. Bear in mind that this calculation is based on ordinary houses and flats. It does not apply to low-energy buildings and the like, because what matters most is the heat loss of the building.
-
hello. I would like to ask which radiator I should fit, in terms of output, to replace an old conventional pressed steel column radiator measuring 600x150 mm , with 25 sections. I am interested in steel or possibly aluminium. Thank you
-
Hello. I have to admit that I really do not know what output the original radiator had. Add up the square metres in the room, reckon on roughly 1kW of heat output per 10 m2, and order one accordingly. That is the only way I can help.
