IVAR.ADH 20 (code 501647) is a compact 230 V rotary actuator with a built-in heating circuit controller that works according to the outdoor temperature. It mounts directly on the mixing valve – according to the manufacturer on more than 20 valve types from different makers – and IVAR also offers it as an optional accessory for VARIMIX mixed boiler modules with a 3-way mixing valve. Without an outdoor temperature sensor it can only be operated together with a room thermostat.

Operation and installation
The graphic display with buttons and the “Easy start” wizard guide you through the initial setup in four steps: language, hydraulic scheme, heating curve slope and opening direction of the mixing valve. The USB port is used for software updates and for connecting the actuator to a PC. A push button switches to manual control, in which the valve is turned with the rotary knob. The controller is mounted in a heated indoor space directly on the valve using the supplied accessories, away from strong electromagnetic fields. It operates at +5 to +40 °C ambient temperature and retains its settings without power for at least 10 years. Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified professional.

Frequently asked questions
Can the ADH 20 be used without an outdoor temperature sensor?
Yes, but a room thermostat must then be connected. With the outdoor sensor the controller works in weather-compensated mode, i.e. according to the outdoor temperature.
Which mixing valves does the actuator fit?
According to the manufacturer it mounts directly on more than 20 types of mixing valves from different makers. IVAR lists it as an accessory for VARIMIX mixed boiler modules with a 3-way valve.
How does the initial setup work?
