Reverse osmosis water treatment unit IVAR.CROSS 90 – five-stage, with remineralisation, 90 l/h, 433 × 136 × 452 mm – SALE
Code: ESMO3600MPECOProduct detailed description
Five stages in three cartridges
IVAR.CROSS 90 BALANCE purifies water step by step in three replaceable cartridges. The CF complex pre-filter, made of composite polypropylene and an activated carbon block, retains sand, silt and rust and reduces chlorine and organic matter. Next comes the 600 GPD reverse osmosis membrane, which removes up to 99.8 % of impurities, including bacteria, viruses and PFAS. Finally the water passes through the MCB remineralising post-filter with activated carbon, which refines taste and smell and enriches the water with minerals (total content 40–70 mg/l).
Tankless, with clear status display
The unit works on direct flow: at 1.5 l/min (90 l/h) it fills a 200 ml glass in about 8 seconds. The booster pump runs on 230 V. Water preparation, faults and the need to replace each stage are signalled on the unit and on the smart faucet; leak protection and an installation kit are included.
Maintenance and installation
- CF pre-filter (ESCPVDFRO): every 12 months or after 4000 l
- RO membrane (ESCSVRO600DFRO): every 24 months or after 8000 l
- MCB remineralising post-filter (ESPDCBDFRO): every 12 months or after 4000 l
Cartridges are changed dry in no more than 10 minutes. Inlet water pressure should be 2–5 bar and a pressure regulator upstream is mandatory; the unit is intended for cold water only. Water recovery is 60 % and the materials are certified to NSF/ANSI 58.

Frequently asked questions
How often are the IVAR.CROSS 90 cartridges changed?
The CF complex pre-filter and the MCB remineralising post-filter every 12 months or after 4000 l, the RO membrane every 24 months or after 8000 l. An indicator on the unit and on the faucet shows when a change is due.
Why does the water taste different after changing the post-filter?
New remineralising and carbon material has its maximum capacity at the start of its life, so a change in taste and smell is normal. These properties settle gradually during operation.
Can I connect the unit to hot water?
No, the domestic reverse osmosis unit is intended for cold water only. The supply should have a pressure of 2–5 bar, and a pressure regulator must be installed upstream of the unit.

IVAR designs, develops and manufactures highly energy-efficient heating and plumbing systems. We have over 10,000 catalogue items - mass-produced products and unique items - in addition to customised systems and combinations of complex products. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Vision
To make life easier for our clients, our clients' customers and our employees, thanks to our ability to be constantly innovative.
Mission
To design and manufacture advanced hydronic solutions that reduce installation complexity and energy consumption.
“Made in Italy” adds value
IVAR has been producing heating and plumbing system components since 1985: valves for heating bodies, direct heat metering modules, heat cost allocators, pipes and fittings, substations for heating systems, distribution manifolds, radiant panel systems, and components for solar and geothermal systems. And it’s all “Made in Italy”.
Over 200 people are employed at our manufacturing facilities in Prevalle (in northern Italy’s Brescia province). The site has been designed to streamline our many production and operational stages.
The Italian headquarters also acts as a hub for the wider IVAR Group, set up with the goal of distributing products beyond Italy’s borders. The group now has 11 branches, in Australia, Belgium, China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, the United States and Tunisia.
Know How
Research, development and numerous laboratory tests guarantee that our clients’ requests can be translated into new high-efficiency products.
The stages required for production take place internally, beginning with hot forming, which is carried out at our subsidiary Valmon Stampati. Our continuous implementation of projects under the Industry 4.0 initiative also allows us to take full advantage of new releases in technology and IT to improve our manufacturing efficiency.
As a company, IVAR is constantly evolving. Every day, we invest in strengthening our products, in improving our production processes and in attaining new patents and certifications.
