  • Protection class IP: at least IP21, ideally IP24 if the device is in the reach of steam from a shower
  • Design and color can play a bigger role, since the dryer is part of the bathroom interior
  • Single-phase power supply of 230 V is sufficient, without the need for a higher circuit breaker

It is not true that the higher the power, the better the dryer. It depends on where that power is "stored" – in the air temperature, in its speed, or in a combination of both.

Hot air dryers with a power of 1 800 – 2 000 W can dry hands in 25 – 30 seconds with a good design. High-speed models with a power of 1 400 W can do it in 10 – 15 seconds, because mechanical water blowing is more effective than evaporation.
