Thermostatic Heads
Digital thermostatic heads EMOS replace the classic mechanical head on the radiator and add a weekly schedule to it. The GoSmart models communicate via ZigBee, so they can be controlled from a mobile device and can be linked into scenes with other EMOS devices.
The head makes sense everywhere you want to heat by rooms: less in the bedroom at night, more in the living room in the evening. In an apartment with one boiler, this is the most cost-effective way to achieve zonal control.

Will the head fit my radiator?
Heads have a standard thread M30 x 1.5, which is used by most Heimeier, IVAR, Herz valves or Danfoss RA with reduction. Older Danfoss RA valves require an adapter.
Do I need a gateway for the head?
No, for a standalone program the head works on its own. To control it from a mobile device and for scenes you need a ZigBee gateway from EMOS.
How many heads make sense?
Ideally one in each room except the one where the room thermostat is located. That one must remain open, otherwise the boiler has nowhere to deliver heat.
