Thermostats
Room thermostats EMOS cover the entire range from a simple manual model with a rotary knob to a WiFi thermostat of the GoSmart series, which you can control from your mobile phone. You will also find clip-on and capillary thermostats here, which are mounted directly on the pipe or in the boiler room and switch the pump on or off according to the water temperature.
When choosing, pay attention to three things: whether you want a wired or wireless model, whether the boiler has an OpenTherm bus, and whether you need a weekly schedule. A programmable thermostat saves the most in homes that are empty during the day.

Do I need OpenTherm?
Only if the boiler supports it. With an OpenTherm thermostat, the boiler is told what water temperature to maintain, so the boiler runs smoothly and cycles less. With a standard switching thermostat, the boiler simply turns on and off.
Where to install the thermostat?
Into a reference room, about 1.5 m above the floor, on an internal wall without direct sunlight, draft, or a radiator below it. Otherwise, it will measure inaccurately and the heating will cycle.
How long do the batteries last?
In wireless models, usually one heating season to two years depending on the type of batteries. The thermostat will notify you in advance with a low battery icon.
