Timers and Smart Sockets
The socket switch is the simplest way to turn an appliance on only when it needs to operate. EMOS mechanical timers are set with pins in quarter-hour increments, while digital ones have a weekly schedule with minute accuracy. They are used for electric direct heaters and convector heaters, hot water circulation pumps, aquariums, and lighting.
GoSmart sockets with WiFi or ZigBee are controlled via a mobile device, switch on according to a schedule or based on other devices in the household, and selected models measure power consumption. The IP44 rating is suitable for use on patios and in gardens.

Frequently asked questions
What power can I switch using the timer?
The maximum load is specified in the parameters of each model. When using heaters and convectors, always check that the power consumption of the appliance does not exceed this limit.
Mechanical or digital timer?
The mechanical timer is inexpensive, durable and repeats the same daily program. The digital timer can distinguish days of the week and set multiple switching times.
Does the GoSmart socket need a gateway?
WiFi models connect directly to the home network. ZigBee models require an EMOS ZigBee gateway, but they have lower power consumption and a more reliable connection.
