Most likely not. Is there any difference between hoses with smooth nuts and those with a wrench slot?
Functionally, no – both types seal equally well if properly tightened. Practical difference: a nut with a wrench slot (hexagonal or with flats) allows for more precise tightening with a wrench and is more suitable where the port is hard to access or where a higher tightening torque is needed (e.g., at higher water pressure). I have very hard water (hardness level above 30 °dH) – what should I pay attention to when choosing a head?
Hard water = rapid clogging of nozzles with lime deposits. Metal fixed nozzles clog faster with hard water and are more difficult to clean. At the same time, I recommend regular descaling of the head with a lemon juice solution (100 ml of 5% citric acid in 500 ml of water, soak for 30–60 minutes) every 6–12 months depending on usage intensity.
