In practice, Thermona and Dakon (Buderus) boilers are very similar – similar construction, similar components (Grundfos or Wilo pumps, Siemens or proprietary controllers).

Thermona has one advantage: the 24 kW model, which covers larger houses or combinations with a swimming pool. For standard family houses, the choice between Thermona and Daline PTE is more a matter of service availability in your region and the price at that moment.

Vaillant eloSTOR – a premium choice with advanced regulation

Vaillant eloSTOR is an electric boiler from the premium segment. AEG electric boilers – less known, but solid choice

AEG (in the context of heating, it is a brand under the Electrolux Group) offers electric boilers with outputs of 4 to 14 kW. Strong side: low price, simple construction, easy installation. Weak side: limited service network in Slovakia, shorter warranty period in some configurations, and less modular system. Dražice OKHE and electric water heaters – a different category

Dražice primarily specializes in electric water heaters (boilers), not central heating boilers. Boiler as a supplement to a heat pump: In bivalent systems (heat pump + backup electric boiler), Daline PTE is excellent as a backup. The heat pump covers most of the season, the boiler only kicks in during extreme cold. In such use, Daline PTE is cheaper and simpler than Vaillant or Protherm Ray.

New construction with photovoltaics: If you have photovoltaics with excess electricity, an electric boiler is an ideal "accumulator" via Regumat or surplus control. Daline PTE can work with simple external surplus energy controllers.

Number and type of heating rods (heating coils): Daline PTE uses stainless steel tubular immersion heating elements. Their replacement is relatively simple and spare parts are available. Competitive boilers sometimes use flat heating elements or patented solutions, where replacement is more expensive.
