Yes, and this is one of the most critical questions before purchasing. An electric boiler is not a light bulb – it is a high-power appliance that places specific demands on the electrical installation. Let's look at them in detail:
Single-phase models (230 V) – 4 kW and 6 kW: These models are single-phase, which means a standard household connection of 230 V is sufficient. At 4 kW, the maximum current is approximately 17–18 A, and at 6 kW, it is approximately 26–27 A. For the 6 kW model, you need a circuit breaker of at least 32 A and a cable of at least 4 mm² CY (recommended 6 mm²). For the 4 kW model, a 20 A circuit breaker and a 2.5 mm² cable are sufficient. In any case, it is a separate electrical circuit directly from the distribution board, not an extension from the nearest socket.
Three-phase models (400 V / 3N) – 8, 14 and 18 kW: A three-phase connection is essential here. This is a question where customers often receive inaccurate information. Let's answer it factually:
An electric boiler has practically 100% efficiency – every watt of electricity that enters the boiler is converted into heat. There is no combustion chamber, no chimney losses, and no losses through the heat exchanger. From a purely thermodynamic perspective, an electric boiler is the most efficient heat source among all commonly available ones. The problem is not the efficiency of the device, but the cost of the energy from which the heat originates.

The Daline PTE boiler has an integrated control panel with the setting of the desired water temperature (so-called boiler circuit temperature). Most models offer a temperature setting range for the output water from approximately 30 °C to 85 °C. Directly – no. The Daline PTE boiler is designed exclusively for heating, not for the preparation of domestic hot water. It does not have an integrated tank or tank heat exchanger. However, indirect connection is possible and common: via a double jacket (heat exchanger) storage tank, where one section serves for heating and the other for heating the DHW tank. Alternatively, an electric water heater can be used as a separate DHW device, independent of the heating boiler. What happens if the electricity goes out – does the boiler automatically turn on after the power is restored?
Yes, Daline PTE boilers have memory of the last setting. After power is restored, the boiler automatically starts in the last operating mode – manual switching on is not necessary. This is an important feature especially for cottages and recreational buildings, where you do not want to have a frozen system after a short power outage.
What water pressure should be in the system and how do I set it?
The correct pressure in the cold (unheated) system is 1.0–1.5 bar. The boiler usually has a manometer (pressure gauge) directly on the front panel or nearby. Filling the system is done via a filling cock (usually between the water supply and the return of the heating circuit) – you slowly open the cock, monitor the pressure on the manometer and close the cock when reaching 1.2 bar. After heating the system, the pressure rises to about 1.5–2.0 bar – this is normal.
