EMOS Thermostat Plug: Heating a Cabin, Workshop, and Garage
A temperature socket is an intermediary between the socket and the appliance. It measures the temperature, or monitors the time, and turns the appliance on or off accordingly. It requires no installation.
Most common uses
- A cottage, where it is enough to maintain 6 to 8 °C to prevent the water from freezing.
- A workshop or garage with a direct heater that should only run in the cold.
- Room temperature control with a water meter or a home water supply.
- Heating film or mat under a terrarium or aquarium.
- Heater in a chicken coop or in a paint storage workshop.
What to be careful about
Check the load capacity, usually up to 16 A, that is approximately 3,500 W. A direct heater with higher power should be connected only via a fixed installation. A temperature socket is not a substitute for a heating control system in the house; for that, a room thermostat is used.

The model P56601FR adds control via the GoSmart app. Before arriving at the cottage, you can thus increase the temperature from your mobile phone and enter a warmed room.

Does it maintain an accurate temperature?
It regulates according to its own sensor built into the socket body, so it measures the temperature at floor level at the socket location. This is sufficient for heating, but for precise room temperature control, use a room thermostat.
Does it remember the settings after a power outage?
Yes, it returns to the original mode after power is restored.
